Lt. Governor Owen served as the guest conductor of the "Star Spangled Banner" with Northwest Sinfonietta in an historic season-opening concert at Seattle's Benaroya Hall on Oct. 5, 2012. This was first-time a U.S. and Cuban orchestral musicians performed side-by-side since the Cuban revolution in 1959. The lieutenant governor also gave opening remarks before the more than 2,000 people in attendance. |

Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Lt. Governor Brad Owen gives about a 45-minute lecture, in Spanish, to an audience in Spain in October, 2011. He shared his perspectives on the historical influence of religion and guns on American politics on two occasions, once at the University of León and the other at University of Valladolid, both in north central Spain.
