American Cancer Society's Speak Out!   The American Cancer Society is sponsoring a long-term, youth-driven campaign in Washington called Speak Out! Through Speak Out!, young people receive training, opportunities, resources, and rewards for "speaking out" as cancer control advocates. Speak Out! Youth are working to change policies and community attitudes as media spokespersons, legislative advocates, community activists and peer educators. Opportunities include annual leadership and advocacy training (Camp Speak Out!), meetings with policymakers (Speak Out! Day), community advocacy and awareness events (like the Great American Smokeout), and membership in the Speak Out! Youth Advocacy Network. For more information, visit the Washington pages of the American Cancer Society's Website at http://www.cancer.org or call 1-800-ACS-2345.
