'Chiefs for a Day' youth inspire
law enforcement,
lieutenant governor
Lt. Governor Owen assisted the Washington Criminal
Justice Training Commission in honoring 15 children at its "Chief
for a Day" event at the Criminal Justice Training Center on
Aug. 28 in Burien.
In
partnership with local law enforcement agencies and hospitals, Chief For
a Day is about celebrating the lives of children who have been diagnosed
with a life-threatening or chronic illness.
Owen gave the keynote address at the event and assisted
with passing out certificates to the young honorees.
