Winners fighting substance abuse
Lt. Governor Owen presented the 2008 Exemplary
Substance Abuse awards at a luncheon in Yakima on Oct. 17 at the
Washington State Prevention Summit. Accepting the Exemplary Youth
Project award from Owen above is Gerry Apple, advisor to the Shelton
High School and Oakland Bay Jr. High School SADD Clubs. At right is
Linda DuBois of the Meridian School District in Whatcom County who
received the Exemplary Collaboration Award. A complete list of the
