Thursday morning, Lt. Governor Habib met with the newly-arrived Consul General from Guatemala, to welcome her to Washington state.
Consul General Gatica previously served as Consul General at the Guatemalan Consulate in New York. She arrived in Seattle in early May to open the new west coast office, which will serve Washington, Montana, Idaho, and Oregon when it opens officially in July.
The Lt. Governor and Consul General Gatica discussed trade and economic development, as well as opportunities for partnership in tourism and education.
