Lt. Gov. Meets with Consuls General of El Salvador, Honduras, and Peru to Strengthen International Trade Ties

On Tuesday, Lt. Gov. Habib welcomed the consuls general of El Salvador, Honduras, and Peru to his office, where they discussed Washington’s Latino population and coordination efforts among the Latino consulates. Lt. Gov. Habib also extended an invitation to collaborate with consulate activities as opportunities arise.

Each of the consuls general officially represent their country in Washington state, presenting unique opportunities to strengthen state-to-country cultural, educational, and economic relations.

Key takeaways from the meeting included elevating the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s support for and connection to the Latino community and reinforcing the cultural and trade ties between the Latin American communities and Washington.
