Building Communities & Keeping Them Safe: Lt. Gov. Speaks to WA COPS

Lt. Gov. Habib spoke at the annual meeting of the Washington Council of Police & Sheriffs (WA COPS) in Olympia Friday, discussing the necessity of working together to build communities and keep them safe.

As the only person of color currently serving in a Washington statewide office, Habib said that he would help bridge any gaps in understanding so that the state can better protect its residents.

An ongoing mission of Lt. Gov. Habib’s office will be to foster relationships in the community, with residents and law enforcement—ultimately building communities while keeping them secure.
